Subject: Submission of information regarding children of widowed, divorced, and deserted women studying in Classes 1 to 12 in the State
Dear Parents,
Greetings of the day!
Reference: Instructions dated 12/09/2025 issued by the Private Secretary to the Hon’ble Minister, School Education.
With reference to the above subject, the economic and social condition of widowed, divorced, and deserted women in Maharashtra is extremely distressing. Many of these women earn their livelihood through daily wage labor, making it extremely challenging for them to continue the education of their children. Consequently, several students are forced to discontinue schooling.
Therefore, it is essential to compile accurate information regarding such students within the Education Department so that necessary support and special attention can be provided for their education.
Accordingly, as per the directions of the Hon’ble Minister, School Education, submit the number of students from Classes 1 to 12 falling under the above categories in the attached format.
