Importance of Parental Involvement in Your Child’s Emotional Well-being
17-08-2026
Dear Parents,
Greetings of the day!
We sincerely thank all the parents who attended the Parenting Workshop and shared their valuable feedback and thoughts.
At the same time, we must express our deep disappointment that, despite repeated communication highlighting the importance of this workshop, the attendance was only around 5%.
The workshop was organised with genuine concern for the mental well-being, emotional health, and overall development of your children. It was also an effort to help parents build a stronger, healthier, and more understanding relationship with their teenagers.
As parents, we may sometimes find it difficult to identify the concerns our children are silently experiencing. However, through regular interaction, observation, and conversations with students, the school comes across concerns that children may not always feel comfortable sharing at home.
We are receiving several concerns from students who feel unable to openly communicate certain issues with their parents. These concerns may appear small initially, but when overlooked, they can gradually become more serious. Our intention is not to create fear, but to make parents aware, prepared, and more connected with their children.
We sincerely urge every parent to ask themselves: Are we waiting for a serious situation to arise before we take these concerns seriously? By then, it may become much more difficult to intervene effectively.
Your child's academic performance is important, but their mental peace, emotional security, confidence, self-esteem, and relationship with you are equally, if not more, important.
The school is making every effort to support our students and guide parents. However, this can be truly effective only when the school and parents work together as partners.
We therefore request all parents to understand the seriousness of these concerns and make it a priority to participate in such workshops and meaningful discussions in the future. Your presence, time, attention, and involvement can make a significant difference in your child's life.
Let us not wait for a problem to become serious. Let us understand, listen, connect, and support our children today.
For important Do's and Don'ts for parents while dealing with teenagers, kindly read the attached guidelines.
Regards,
